A 2019 recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, Craig Skauge is the President, Chief Executive Officer, and a Director of Olympia Trust Company. Craig is a Founder, Director & President of the Private Capital Market Association of Canada and is a former member of the Alberta Securities Commission’s Exempt Market Dealer Advisory Committee. Craig was previously a member of both the Ontario Securities Commission Exempt Market Advisory Committee and Small and Medium Enterprises Committee.
Throughout her 20 years in the financial services industry, Andrea's ability to cultivate positive customer relationships built on delivering lasting solutions has led her to progressively senior roles. As Vice President of the Registered Plans & TFSA Division, Andrea uses her extensive knowledge of the exempt market industry to develop and implement strategic plans for the division, ensuring a positive, personalized result for Olympia's clients. In addition to a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of Saskatchewan, Andrea has studied a wide range of industry specific courses including financial planning and the Canadian Securities Course.
Kelly has spent over a decade in the financial services industry gaining a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the Registered Plans Division. Having held many positions within the division, Kelly relies on her previous experience to help create efficient systems and procedures. In addition to a diploma in Business Administration from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Kelly has completed a range of industry specific courses including the Alberta Mortgage Agent Course and the Canadian Investment Manager program.
Dean is a well-respected leader in the corporate securities industry, with a strong focus on client service and business development. Dean joined Olympia in 2000 and led the Corporate & Shareholder Services division through a period of substantial growth, culminating in the acquisition of the division in 2013. He subsequently spent several years as the head of Client Services for Western Canada at a multi-national transfer agent before returning to Olympia in 2018. Dean is a graduate of Dalhousie University, and is an active member of several industry associations, including the Securities Transfer Association of Canada and the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.
Gerhard joined Olympia Financial Group Inc. in 2007 as CFO and Vice President, Finance. Prior to joining Olympia, Gerhard worked in South Africa in industries ranging from auditing, pathology, banking, shared services, pension fund administration and investment management as part of the senior management team. With 25 years of experience in financial and regulatory reporting, financial management of multi-disciplinary environments, risk management and an in-depth understanding of processes, people and strategic value drivers Gerhard leads Olympia's Financial Services team. Gerhard holds a Masters degree in Financial Management and is a CPA, CMA.
Ryan is the Chief Information Officer at Olympia Financial Group Inc. A detailed understanding of software development, infrastructure, disaster recovery, IT general controls audit, information security and service delivery assist Ryan in leading Olympia’s IT team. Ryan is a passionate leader in a high performance environment delivering solutions that align with business objectives. His confident leadership style is based on an extensive knowledge of process, development environments, project management and best practices.
Jonathan Bahnuik specializes in corporate and commercial law. Previously, Mr. Bahnuik served as general counsel to several public corporations traded on the facilities of TSX-Venture exchange. He has also been a partner at a boutique corporate-commercial law firm, worked as an associate with a large national law firm and worked in-house with a major Canadian oil & gas corporation. Mr. Bahnuik received a Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University in 2002 and a Master of Business Administration from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary in 2013. He is a member of both the Law Society of Alberta and the Law Society of British Columbia.
